Renatus Capital Partners has made its first investment under a new €60 million state-backed fund, taking a majority stake in WH Scott Group, a Wicklow engineering company.

Founded in 1897, the firm is focused on the design, fabrication, supply, inspection and certification of equipment used in highly regulated lifting and industrial markets.

The Rathnew-headquartered company operates through four specialist divisions: WH Scott & Son Engineers, Hiltonne Engineers, Metlab and ReRopes.
